This Serpentine Cross serves as a reminder of the struggle and temptation that Christ endured in His life on Earth. The arm and hand is the head of a serpent (Evil) which is wrapped around the body of Christ trying to break the Will of God. Good triumphed over Evil through Christ's loving death on the Cross for all mankind.
